February has well and truly become the month of change for me; new job, new car and now… A brand new phone! Having nursed my iPhone 4 for three (maybe four?) years, it was still going strong but despite my stubbornness to not change it until it gave up on me, I ended up giving up first. Gotta get that Instagram photo quality up, innit. So after splashing the cash on an iPhone 6s Gold (which makes me feel a bit sick to say), it’s only fair I picked up a new phone case (or four!) to protect the investment.
A girl can never have too many phone cases, and having been stuck with the oldest, battered casing on my old iPhone 4 – because yes, it was so old that they stopped making new cases for it – I was so excited to pick up some new treats for my new baby. Hey, an iPhone 6s Gold looks luxurious, and I’m going to treat it like that!
My first two cases (and most expensive) were from Mobile Fun. You guys know I love this shop and get much of my blogging technology accessories from there, so it made sense to have a look there when wanting some reputable cases to protect my phone. I picked up two; the first being the Moshi iGlaze Luxe iPhone 6S / 6 Bumper Case (shown in packaging, as I’m savouring this before deciding I am clumsy enough to need to use this).
The second is my favourite and the case I have been using since I brought my phone home, the Case-Mate Glam iPhone 6S / 6 Case in Champagne. I mean, it was called Champagne, I had to get it! This case is stunning and not only does it receive so many compliments from strangers on how sparkly it is, but it’s also super protective. A combination of style and practicality is exactly what I was looking for to give a home to my phone.
However, you guys know that deep down I have two loves; pugs and retro fashion, and so I had to show off the more fun side of my phone, too. This Iconemesis x Gemma Correl Pugs iPhone 6 / 6s Case is literally my life. As a pug Momma I don’t think you could find a more perfect case for a bargainous £15, and every time I use it I get a friends giggling at how ideal it is for me.
On the other side of things, I do have to shout out to my Boyarde Case I first mentioned in my Luxury Christmas Gift Guide for her. This retro fabulous case was gifted to me after meeting the artist herself, and I am proud to have this in my collection as a reminder of what a lovely lady she is.
Back to the more practical side of things, and I have to give a shoutout to one of the phone accessories that has been making my travelling life a lot easier, the Olixar Dock & Go Car Holder. Olixar is a brand that I discovered through Mobile Fun and has become recognisable as one of my favourite travel accessory brands, I have had numerous portable chargers, plug sets and cases from the brand and this phone holder is just as excellent. At £12.99, it is sturdy, holds your phone in place well (adjustable from portrait to landscape) and sticks easily onto your car windscreen or dashboard. I couldn’t want any more from it, really.
So, I thought I would share my little phone haul with you all whilst everything is fresh and new. If you have any tips on how to care for your phone, please do let me know in a comment below as I would love to hear from you. It’s quite an investment and so I’m keen to keep it going as long as I possible can, with the help of cases and accessories.
