Outfit of the Day – “Collar tips, peplum skirt & straw hat”

Hey, kittens! :)

Today’s outfit is one of my favourites and the two main items were sent to me by MissPap.co.uk. They had promised to send me a little something for my giveaway for you guys but unfortunately they haven’t sent it yet :(

Anyway, I think this again is an outfit that can be dressed up smart or worn down casual; a reoccurring theme in my posts! I really think a look depends on the accessories you pair with it, as they help to complete the overall feel you’re going for. In this case, I wanted a smart-casual atmosphere, so I used the straw hat and office-style heels to create a juxtaposition; the contrast between the relaxed summer feel of the hat and the sharp femininity of the shoes really helps to make this a transitional seasonal outfit. The combination of summery and wintery warmness make it a perfect look for autumn!

I also chose the gold statement earrings to tie in with the gold collar tips on the MissPap shirt (a detail that I absolutely love, by the way!) and although they’re pretty huge, I feel it isn’t an overwhelming look as I was careful not to wear any other jewellery. The shirt is actually also extremely long and could be worn just with leggings and I will probably do another Outfit of the Day including that look. Enjoy!
