Hey kittens, today it’s time for a Festival Fashion Outfit of the Day video and blog post. Yep, I know, I’m gonna be super unrealistic and style this outfit in a best-case scenerio. Lets forget the mud of Glastonbury and lets pretend this is for Coachella. Gotta let me have some creativity, right?
So kitty cats, it’s July and what better way to kick start the Summer than with a festival? We’ve just had Park Life, Download and Glastonbury, but Wakestock and Wireless are all still to come. So, with the festival season fully upon us, what better way than to celebrate what I consider to be the most exciting part of it all – Festival Fashion! Here’s my entry into #PBFestivalStyle *fingers crossed*!
It goes without saying that wellies are a must for all overnight UK festivals – unfortunately we aren’t all lucky enough to visit Coachella and be blessed with American sun. However, if you’re simply visiting for a day you might be lucky enough to get away with sandals – I particularly like these comfortable cuties from Clarks. I’m gonna use a bit of artistic licence and say that gladiator sandals are the perfect statement footwear whilst also being flat and comfortable. Hey, we all need to boogie a bit don’t we!
Denim shorts are also a well known festival commodity – they’re practical, fashionable and go with just about anything you want to pair them with; perfect if you’re packing light! These customised Levis are a vintage pair I picked up from Ebay a couple of years ago – a bargain and go with literally anything. I personally like to wear them with either a patterned shirt or a vest and cover-up, and this ombre kimono from So In Fashion is a proper festival must have. The embroidered detail on it is just of an amazing quality and the tassels add that little bit extra to make you stand out from the crowd. Plus, it’s an easy way to channel boho chic without getting your favourite summer dresses muddy!
To finish the look, I like to pop on some chunky jewellery, with necklaces being my item of choice!. They add a little style without being too heavy or overdressed – a happy medium! This bohemian feather necklace is from Get The Label (nope, they don’t just do sportswear) and really helps to complete the relaxed summer look. My amber ring from Henryka completes my jewellery – again, a ring is perfect if you’re worried about earrings dropping out and getting lost in the mud whilst headbanging. It’s genuine silver and includes three different types of Amber; cognac, green and yellow. Finally, what screams “Festival Fashion” more than a floral crown? Don’t be without yours this year or you’ll be feeling left out!
