Hey kitty cats! Just a quick Outfit of the Day for y’all – I’ve got to be super speedy with this one as I’ve got a jam packed weekend ahead, but I couldn’t resist sharing this cute casual look with you. If you’re looking for some more in depth Outfit posts, please feel free to check out my Outfit of the Day playlist on my Youtube Channel or read my latest blog write ups here, here and here.
Anyway, I’m running all over, out and about this weekend so I needed my look to be cute, casual and comfortable, hence this really wearable look. As I’m carrying out loads of errands so I feel this vintage slouchy jumper is the perfect compromise between fashion and practicality; it’s super warm yet effortlessly glam thanks to the beaded embroidery around the collar.
To pick out the purple and gold jewel colours in this slouchy knit, I teamed the jumper with these fierce galaxy print leggings from Karma Clothing, an absolute bargain at £9.99. Again, they’re incredibly comfortable yet their fresh print (Fresh Prince/Fresh Prints… Geddit?) they add a little edge to a casual look. Plus – a perfect transitional item to bridge between dark Winter colours – yep, it is May but I do live in rainy Manchester – and flashes of spring brights.
To accessorise the outfit, I kept my handbag and shoes edgy yet simple. For practicality, I wore this huge Lottie Nouveua Tote handbag from Marc B, to make sure I could fit all my bits and bobs in. Not only does it fit all of Mary Poppin’s magic items in but it is so glamorous, too – the quality on it is very reminiscent of Chanel yet at a fraction of the price and the gold hardware on it adds even more luxury to the bag. It is such an indulgent item yet is the perfect size for both work and play!
Finally, I wore these fantastic stud creepers from Shoezone which I really feel complete the entire look. I know what ya thinking – “Shoezone?” – but trust me they have some pretty cool items in at the minute, which is probably why they’re the UK’s leading value footwear shop. I got these online but they actually have over 550 stores across the UK and they sell 25 million pairs of shoes a year, equivalent to 50 pairs a min! Who can blame them when they’re this cute and cheap? Although a statement item, these creepers are far more practical than wearing heels and again, in the theme of practicality, perfect for dashing around town with a touch of style! I love the stud finishing and thick sole on these creepers in particular and, to soften the look of them a little, I added these navy frilly socks.
So kittens, whatcha think of this outfit? Would you wear this for popping to the shops? Leave me a comment below and let me know! And don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, like my Facebook page and subscribe to my Youtube channel to keep up to date with all things fashion!
