Hey kittens! We’re midway through the week – woop woop! What better way is there to get excited for the weekend than to start planning your Saturday and Sunday outfits? And today’s Outfit posts comes with a giveaway tied in, giving you the chance to win your very own new outfit of your choice!
As y’all will remember from a few weeks ago, I recently took part in in Tesco Clothing‘s line, F&F, 7 Days of Summer fashion campaign with my Outfit of the Day: Embellishments. I had such a good time styling a whole outfit from Tesco – who would believe that supermarket clothing could be that chic? – that I’ve since become a convert. Hey, picking up clothes whilst buying your groceries definitely helps to make your weekly shop more exciting!
F&F have since featured me on their blog, saying lovely things about my personal style (n’awww, they’re lovely aren’t they?) and this week I’ve been featured on their Inspire Me site, showing y’all how I would style monochrome from the F&F range, too.
Today, I’m styling an outfit costing a total of £25. Yep, for that totally affordable amount I’ve managed to bag myself a gorgeous maxi dress AND shoes, plus pick it up for free whilst doing my shopping anyway! My leather T-bar sandals were in the sale for £7 down from £14, which is still pretty good value at full price. The gold hardware on them is a lovely little detail and after adding my two quick accessories to add a splash of turquoise to match my finger nails – choosing my 1920’s style headband from Accessorise and my horn-style necklace from Lasula Boutique – this was a super easy look to pop together.
This grecian style maxi dress is a perfect contribution to both the ombre and monochrome trends, whilst it’s shape and fit keeps it looking summery and light. The material of this £18 bargain is great quality – despite being a maxi, it’s pretty heavy with material and that’s always a sign of lovingly created item. Just look at the stunning way it gathers material and drops! The bust area has also clearly had a lot of detail put into it (c’mon, we’re all ladies here) as it comes build in with padding, meaning you don’t have to wear a bra; this is a huge plus point in my books as who want’s to see unsightly bra straps when you’re trying to look chic in the sun?
So, if my F&F picks have tickled your fancy, now’s your chance to win a £25 voucher for yourself and the chance to appear on the Inspire Me site, too. As part of F&F’s “How You’re Wearing It” competition, they’re letting me pick a winner from one of my lovely kitty cats.
All y’all have to do to enter is style an outfit with one F&F item in, then tweet me (@LilyKitten1) including the hashtag #myFFstyle, with a photo OR comment on this blog post with a link to ya look.
The winner will be based on creativity, styling and overall quality of the photo will run until Friday 26th July at 5pm. For more of the boring small print, take a look at the F&F age and T&Cs for the competition.
