My favourite part of this whole outfit are the accessories – they give the look a vintage-esque vibe when really none of the items in it are retro at all; the beauty of accessorising. I could have easily dressed up this emerald green frock with a pair of strappy heels to make it suitable for a night-out, but by choosing a straw hat and a pair of wedges, it’s transformed into an Old English quirky look, which just so happens to be one of my favourite styles.

The highlight of the accessories for me has to be this heart shaped tote bag by LYDC. It’s a clever dupe of the Vivienne Westwood heart shaped Chancery bags which I’ve been lusting over for two years now, but at a tiny fraction of the price. For a statement handbag which isn’t really suitable for everyday use (I couldn’t see all my everyday clutter fitting into this shape), I’d rather get the cheaper version than spending £200+ on an item I’d barely use. What do you think?
