Hey kittens, Happy Tuesday! I know – an Outfit of the Day post on a Tuesday. Such a midweek treat for y’all! Since getting into my Friday outfit schedule, I’ve felt like I’ve had a lot more structure to my posting times and days and over all feel a lot happier with my internal blogger body clock, but heck, sometimes I just get so excited about a look that I wanna bust out a “what I wore today” a couple of days early. Sue me.
This outfit kinda reminds me of that funky Sam Sparrow song, “Black and Gold”. Can you guess why?
I think this is the first time I’m wearing an outfit that I’ve not entirely chosen myself. Although this is 100% styled by me as ever, the skirt and blazer weren’t items I picked out and I can honestly say that’s the first time ever. I only made this exception for Angel Eye London as I admire their unusual items so much, and heck, they did good. The quality of this gold bubble skirt is superb, as is the detail on the black lace blazer; note the gold chain trimming! I kinda want to say their items are handmade, I get that feel, but I’m not 100% so don’t quote me on it. As the two main garments in the look are so delicate and feminine, I wanted to shake it up a bit by adding some chunky accessories (to fit with the colour theme, of course!). These amazing buckled gladiator sandals by Linzi were just the ticket, and they’ve not left my feet since.
