Hey kittens, hope you’ve all had a lovely start to your week! Today’s Outfit of the Day is something a little different – its part of Boohoo‘s latest campaign. Having worked with Boohoo’s rebellious little sister store, Pretty Little Thing, before, I was delighted to be asked by Boohoo to be part of their #OwnIt campaign. I can’t believe this is the first outfit I’ve ever styled from Boohoo, but if this isn’t the perfect time to start, when is?!

The #OwnIt campaign is based on the idea of embracing new clothing styles and shapes, which would ordinarily be outside of your comfort zone, and taking on the new SS14 trends in your own way. Something I feel I’ve definitely done, almost subconciously, with this maxi shirt-dress from Boohoo’s latest collection. On the site, this garment is styled to the nine’s in 90’s (absolute alliteration expert), but as y’all know, that really isn’t my style. Instead, I’ve gone for an almost 1940’s take on the dress – funny how choosing your own accessories can really transform a piece of clothing. Personally, I love it, and the look came out unintentionally more Gone With The Wind-esque than I originally planned. I guess I really have “owned it” then, right?
