Embracing my inner boho goth is something that I don’t do often enough. In fact, this look was kinda unintentional and one that I’ve ended up wearing for work quite often (sans the black lipstick!). When I want to wear something smart-casj but comfortable, a pair of skinny jeans and a turtle neck top is always a good deal – slinging a comfy kimono over the top is such an easy way of making things look a little different…

This look is a little dark for Spring, but hey, it’s rarely sunny in Manchester and you can’t go wrong with a bit of black. This Kimono from Glamorous really brightens it up a bit though, and with a white vest top and pair of shorts, I can see it looking completely different. Pretty festival ready, if you ask me (that is, if you don’t need to wear a raincoat!).

I also really love these Dorothy Perkins boots. I am pretty sure they were only about £22 and they are so comfortable. You just can’t go wrong with a pair of flat ankle boots and I pretty much wear mine all year, aside from the few weeks our of the 52 other rain-soaked ones where the sun is shining and dolly shoes and sandals become acceptable. Being a mancunian, it’s a rarity, so ankle boots are pretty much a staple in my wardrobe.
