Hey kittens!
Just a quick outfit post from me today. I wasn’t planning on doing an Outfit of the Day today but as I got changed to go out for dinner, I couldn’t help myself. Just look at the beautiful view – cheeky, I’m talking about the sunset, not myself! Although this FD Avenue dress is a pretty lovely sight, too.
I was heading out to grab some dinner at a local restaurant – nothing too fancy, but I didn’t want to be too casual either. When deciding what to wear for a night out, I love to have a couple of go-to dresses that I know will leave me scrubbing up well even when I’m in a rush. This is where this gorgeous tea dress from FD Avenue comes in!
I love the fit of this dress; it’s in a classic tea dress shape which I just feel is so flattering on any figure – note the cute raceback detail! It also gives me special reassurance that although nipping me in at the waist, I can indulge as much as I want at my restaurant of choice without having to hold myself in as with the curse of the bodycon dress! I know midi dresses are all the rage at the min and maybe I’m just not down with the kids enough, but I really think you just can’t beat a classic tea dress!
The print on this dress is what really drew me to it in the first place. Y’all know that as a kitten, I love my animal prints and this is a really unusual contrast of leopard print and floral patterns – a super easy way to wear the clashing print trend this Spring! I kinda feel like Pebbles from the Flintstones in this dress (an odd confession, I know, but I think it’s kinda cute – see what I mean with the statement collar?).
This dress is such a statement that I only had to pair it with a necklace and tights and I’m ready to go… Easy peasy! I have a couple of other FD Avenue dresses which I’m itching to wear but I can’t help but save them for a special occassion – cough cough, Manchester Fashion Week! I’ve also got my eyes on this gorgeous floral playsuit and chiffon midi dress.

I love that dress ^_^ It looks like it's vintage but with a modern twist. I think your hair makes it look that way too. Gorgeous like always.
