Outfit of the Day – “Studded Blazer & Fringe Dress”
Hey kittens!
This is an exciting Outfit of the Day for y’all today because its from a clothing brand I haven’t tried before. The blazer and dress were sent to me from MissPap and I have to say I have been extremely impressed with the quality and style of the items – I wouldn’t make a video on an outfit I wouldn’t wear!
Although some wouldn’t always think to pair a blazer with a body con dress, its one of my personal favourite things to do. I really feel that a blazer instantly adds sophistication to an outfit that otherwise may run the risk of looking a bit too “clubby” (aka going out in a club to it) – this way the outfit is instantly upgraded and much more wearable, however, if you do decide to go to a club, then remove the blazer and you’re good to go!
As any of my faithful kittens are aware, I like to dress fashionably but also quite modestly, I wouldn’t get both my chest and legs out in the same dress. Therefore, to comprimise with this bodycon dress, I wore opaque black tights to make it a bit less revealing. This way, I am 100% comfortable wearing a bodycon dress and am more likely to enjoy my night more. I also really love the fringing on the dress, not simply for the fact its a very subtle take on the American Indian/Best West trend thats been huge throughout Spring/Summer 2012 but for the fact that they are also very flattering! The tassles help to cover any unsightly lumps and bumps (I admit it, I have them) and really helped me to feel more confident in this outfit!
I am also so in love with this blazer! My followers know I am a lover of smart/casual wear (love the shirts, love the blazers, love the dresses) and this perfectly ties in fashion and class. I love that you could wear it during the day, for a night out, or even in the workplace. The studs instantly make it the height of fashion at the moment and its a really wearable way to experiment with the studded detail trend.
I chose this snake bracelet to accessorize the outfit with, as the gold ties in with the gold studs of the blazer and the snake detail makes it look a bit rock’n’roll too. I didn’t want to wear any other accessories as the detailing on the dress and blazer are quite striking and I didn’t want to go too OTT. I think the accent on the wrist is a really cute detail, especially when it may not be visible when wearing the blazer; when you take the jacket off its a cheeky arm surprise!
