Hello kittens, TGIF! I mean, I say that, but at the moment I’m not so much living for the weekend as living for the entire week. I’m just really loving things right now, I feel like I’m in a good place and I feel like that’s showing. Notice how smiley I am in these pictures? I just couldn’t help it. Absolute cheeseball, me.
It might also have something to do with how chuffed to bits I am with this dress. Guh, it’s just stunning. I’m convinced that anything Sugarhill Boutique sells is just so “me” but this handprinted camera dress has earned a permanent place in my wardrobe. Aside from the fitting print – hello, blogger’s dream dress – the deep mint colour and hourglass shape are both so flattering. The dress is amazing quality; double lined, perfect length sleeves and tidy hemlines. I don’t wanna sound like an old fart, but that stuff really matters to me when some items are just rushed through the production line to get into stores in time for trends to still be current. Fast fashion is fine – I’m all about that – but sometimes you just need a timeless piece, and for me, this dress is that.
To reflect my sunny mood, I went for some sunny day accessories, including my signature frilly socks, a statement necklace and a big ole’ hat. I also wanted to show you how well my eyeshadow went with my dress (although admittedly forgot to take a close up shot – d’oh!), so I slipped in a picture of two Body Shop pressed powder shadows I’m loving this spring. Having always been a lover of the neutral eye, The Body Shop’s subtle shades have convinced me that it’s okay to rock a coloured eyelid sometimes, and these green and beige tones go perfectly together. Heck, there might even be a beauty tutorial in me yet!
