Outfit of the Day: Tweed Two Piece Suit

Hey kittens, hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! Today’s Outfit of the Day is another look I’m loving at the mo – the two piece! As y’all know, I’m a huge lover of formal wear – shirts, dresses and blazers – anyway, so pairing a couple of types together is pretty much heaven for me. Plus, this tweed look has Autumn/Winter 2013 written all over it.

This two piece is my new true suit love. It’s formal, it’s wintery, and it’s so well fitted (even if the skirt is a little on the short side, but a girl can’t help having long legs). The quality is also unbelievable – lets test it. Would you believe me if I told you it was from Sainsburys? Yep, I know. It’s from Tu, which is totally affordable and giving the higher-end high-street a proper run for its money. You can find the blazer here and skirt here if you fancy a peek yourself.

I love the details in this twosie – note the buckles on the skirt and the elbow patches on the blazer. Kinda like a cool version of your own geography teacher. Librarian chic. No, but seriously, I really love this blazer and although the skirt is probably a little indecent on me to wear day-to-day, I’ve been wearing the blazer a lot separately with black skinnies and a casual blouse for work. Me likey.

The blouse I’m wearing is another appearance of my Lasula favourite. The embellishment on the collar is just gorgeous and really adds a little something extra to your standard white blouse. Heck, everyone needs a go-to white shirt and I’m not the type of kitten to do anything by halves, so this little number is the perfect staple item to jazz up my formal wardrobe.
