Outfit of the Day – “Wine Peplum Dress”

Hey you little kitten lovelies!

Welcome to my first ever peplum dress outfit! You know, I was hesitant to try the peplum dress, I was convinced it wouldn’t suit my body shape and would be ultimitely unflattering. However, I absolutely love this one from MissPap!  I would even say its one of my new favourite dresses ever! I love the shape of it, the material of it and I LOVE the wine colour. Red is my favourite colour to wear and this toned down, maroon colour is one which can be worn both day and night. Its also casual enough to be worn at night and formal enough to be worn in the workplace. Love love love!

Because the dress is quite striking, I wore opaque black tights and black flats to tone it down a little. This is also the way I’d wear it to work. The ballet pumps are also from MissPap and I’ve worn them out and about and miraculously, they haven’t rubbed at all, they’re super comfortable. I love the patent little bows and I especially LOVE the gold buckle detail on them, giving a cute little vintage look.

I chose the necklace and hair flower to go with the wine colour of the dress and both help to create a cutesy look, to offset the sophisticated shape of the dress. I have to say I really do love this outfit and I hope you do too!
