Brrr – it’s definitely winter coat weather round about now. Am I right, or am I right? It’s freezing in Manchester at the moment and so it’s become the perfect excuse for me to bring out my (slightly excessive) collection of coats. Faux fur coats, cape coats, trench coats, I’ve got one of each, and today’s blog post is all about my favourite duster coat. Purchased in January/February time earlier this year, this Pale Blue Duster Coat from good ole’ M&S is finally going to get it’s wear.
If you ever need a really warm, really practical winter coat you can pretty much count on Marks and Spencer’s to deliver. More recently, however, I’ve been so impressed at how fashionable their items have become. In the past year or so they’ve heavily stepped up the game and now I have a wishlist as long as my arm of items I’m looking forward to buying in the January sale again next year. Too soon? Kinda, but a girl’s gotta look after her pennies!
To compliment the pale blue of the coat*, I paired it with an oversized shirt* (also from M&S) which brings out a lot of pastel colours in it’s geometric print. It’s a busy shirt, but that’s my favourite type, and considering it’s so highly patterned it’s pretty easy to pair it with a different coloured accessories to compliment it. I love the way the different jewels on this statement necklace bring out the yellows, pinks and greens without it being too bold.

I am loving M&S too lately, a few years ago I never would have stepped through the door, but there are so many gorgeous pieces at the moment. I adore the coat, but that shirt is something else – I need it!

I know, right?! M&S used to be pretty ‘old’ but now it’s got so much better, and isn’t a bad price either! x
