Quinteassential is a local gourmet tea company based right around the corner in Cheshire, and since starting out in 2010 at Farmer’s Markets has since found itself stocked in luxury hotels, spas and restaurants – and now my tea cupboard!
It is not just the packaging of the teas that is totally Instagram-worthy (I mean, seriously, how gorgeous?!), they also taste incredible with unusual blends of fruit, flower and spice ingredients from from Egypt to Indonesia.
My favourite of their teas is the Quinteassential White Elixir Tea, an award-winning tea with blue-green algae (more delicious than it sounds!). This tea is created to promote ‘beauty from within’, which I think is such a lovely motto. We all know the almost limitless health benefits of tea, but this White Elixir blend includes all the goodness of White tea, Jasmine blossoms, Blue Mallow flowers, Gingko leaves and the superfood Spirulina algael. These specialist ingredients aim to aid a smooth complexion, aid weight-loss and foster inner glow; particularly white tea. Research has shown that an extract of white tea prevents new fat cells that make up the body’s adipose tissue forming, and helps to burn off mature ones – if that’s not a bonus to a good tasting tea, I don’t know what is!
For me, Quinteassential’s packaging is an added bonus – I just want to keep the boxes and collect them all! Imagine a kitchen shelf lined with these bad boys; I am up for that! Not only is the front of the box stunning, the back of the box features a QR code that unlocks a song when hovered over with your phone. I find this to be such incredible attention to detail; when the music stops playing, the tea is said to be perfectly brewed. What a beautiful home spa experience!
If I’ve got you craving a good cup of tea (go on, brew up and make me one too!) Quinteassential will be featured in the new documentary ‘Inside Manchester’s Midland Hotel’ which is due to be aired on Monday 1st June 2015, at 9pm on Channel 5. Heck, y’all know I love a good documentary – especially when it’s about my hometown – so I will be tuning in. Tweet me if you do, too!
If you fancy picking up your own box, the White Elixir tea starts from £8 and is available in selected stores and online here.
