Resultime Multi-Corrective CC Cream and Regenerating Collagen Gel Review
This year I’ve been on a quest to find new beauty brands. Yeah, everyone loves a bit of Nivea and L’Oreal, but there are tons of independant brands out there just waiting to be swatched, photographed and reviewed – and I’m all about that! My latest quest took me to try out Resultime By Collin Paris, an award winning beauty company that’s actually been around for 10 years – my bad for not trying them before!
The first item I got my mitts on was the Multi-Corrective CC Cream*. This cream only comes in two shades, which is pretty unusual for a foundation-esque product so I was a bit dubious as to how well it would suit my ghost-like skin. This product actually boasts to have colour-adaptive technology, that promises once applied that the shade will start to merge with your skin colour.Well. Y’all know I am incredibly pale, so it’s no surprise that this is slightly too dark for me. But, I have to say, only slightly. I’ve actually been wearing it daily for over a month and it’s holding up well at work – I only need a tiny bit and it stays put all day, bar a bit going shiny on my nose at lunch time (which is quickly forgiven with a quick touch-up pat of mattifying powder). The coverage is actually a lot better than my Clarins CC Cream that I used for work wear last year, and unlike Clarins it has never irritated my sensitive skin. It seems to really suit my face. However, in terms of colour-match the Clarins beats it hands down as they cater to Caspers like me!
The second product I’ve been trying from Resulttine is their Regenerating Collagen Gel*. Now, I need to disclaimer this by saying this is never the type of product I would buy myself – I was kindly sent this to have a little go and see what I thought of it, so my opinion is based on that of someone who wouldn’t ever buy a gel-type moisturiser.
This Collagen Gel has been featured in vogue and is becoming something of a cult product. It can be used a number of ways: as a face mask; a serum before moisturiser; as it’s own moisturiser; to treat sunburn. I find this slightly comparable to the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream – not in consistency but in the way that it can be used to gently treat many different things, and I reckon it has the potential to be hailed in a similar way to that much loved moisturiser.
However, at £47.00 it’s kinda an investment purchase (or a very special gift!) and so for me, I won’t be repurchasing, unlike perhaps the Resultime Multi-Corrective CC Cream. Personally, I prefer a think cream moisturiser as opposed to a gel, as I find them to suit my skin more and I don’t really like mixing things up too much on my face when I now know what works for me. Despite this, I do think it is a good product for what it is, and I would recommend this to those who are into gels and peels – my dear friend, Anna (its a blogger’s world), I am looking at you!
