Sneak Peek of VOGUE's Fashion Night Out: Armani

Morning kittens, it’s an early time for me to post, but I just had to let you know about this sneak peek I’ve had of Vogue’s Fashion Night Out in Manchester 2013, just in time for the big day! Today! As part of my VOGUE #FNO Manchester blog series countdown, I was invited over to the Emporio Armani store last night get a pre-FNO viewing of thier collection. And wow, was it hot! This is definitely a must see stop tonight…

If you fancy popping long tonight, you gotta know where it is, right? The store is based at The Avenue, Spiningfields and is literally right opposite “The Avenue” sign (which has now actually be covered in VOGUE #FNO wallpaper just in time for the day, you can’t miss it!) It’s inarguably the largest fashion store in Spinningfields and arguably one of the largest high-end stores in Manchester.

So, why was I invited along? Francesca Burns, Fashion Editor at Vogue, has designed an exclusive widow display was created based on her favourite pieces from store. Fran also highlighted her favourite ‘Editor’s picks’ all of which are from the Emporio Armani Fall/Winter 2013 season. All of the mannaquins within the store are dressed in outfits previously featured in VOGUE and are official Milan Armani approved looks. Not gonna lie, I had a little wardrobe envy in the handbag department…

There’s also items in store specially labelled with Vogue tags, which have been favourite items featured in the magazine itself. This means, that although not all the items in the store are current or in season, they are classic items chosen to coincide with the night itself. Pretty snazzy, huh? My favourites were the purple and black combinations all over the store – very royal!

On the night itself, Emporio Armani Manchester will play host to an exclusive night of shopping as part of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. Francesca herself will host the Emporio Armani event for the launch of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Manchester and will be on hand to offer her style expertise to guests. Well, after seeing the outfit’s she’s chosen, I can’t wait to ask her about them myself tonight – who else will I be seeing there, kittens? Any of you?

As well as all the fashion on offer, there’s a healthy dosage of music happening too. The Maccabees will perform a live DJ set between 8.30-9.30pm to entertain shoppers and add a little life into the store. Of course, the official Vogue Fashion’s Night Out t-shirt, in association with the ‘Save the Children’ charity, will be available to buy on the evening in-store for £18.00. All events at Armani will be running from 7 – 10pm on Thursday 10th October, so there’s plenty of time to get down there tonight.
