The Body Shop Down To Earth Eyeshadow Palettes Review

The Body Shop Down To Earth Eyeshadow Palettes are the latest in The Body Shop’s expanding colour cosmetics collection. Whilst The Body Shop do sponsor and do the makeup at Fashion Scout at the Freemasons Hall during London Fashion Week, they are arguable more well known for their skincare and body care items (including those famous body butters). However with their range of makeup increasing, that is starting to change.

The Body Shop Down to Earth Eye Shadow Glow Palette is the largest of the palettes in their Down to Earth range and contains eight shades of brown and neutral eyeshadows. It costs £22 for the eight shades, palette and built in mirror, but the individual shades all click in and out of the palette casing, so you can switch shades between palettes and quads. This makes building up your collection practical and easy, as you can leave your bigger palette at home and switch out your favourite shades into the smaller quads for travel.

If you fancy creating your own palette from switching out the colours, or even just feel like four colours instead of eight, you can always go for The Body Shop Down to Earth Eyeshadow Quad. There are five vversions of this – version 54588 shown above – and each cost £15. 55458 contains classic ‘smokey eye’ shades, including shimmery blue and silver with a matte grey and black for creating a crease.

I also have version 54589 and that contains a colder take on classic nudes. It includes a pale pink highlight shade paired with some icy browns and greys to create a smoky yet neutral eye look. The colours are nothing too unusual but the selling point for me is being able to pop them in and out to create your perfect palette – something which I have wanted to do for a very long time.
