The Perfect Festive Scent: Mademoiselle Rochas Couture Eau de Parfum

Here it is, in my opinion, the perfect festive scent: Mademoiselle Rochas Couture Eau de Parfum. This perfume is available in all major beauty and department stores (I even believe in some Duty Free stores if you are jetting off for a Winter holiday), and is available online through trusted retailers such as Amazon – it is truly the perfect Christmas party scent!

As with it’s beautiful and sophisticated presentation – the bottle comes complete with a ‘bow on top’, perfect for gift giving! – the scent of Mademoiselle Rochas Couture Eau de Parfum matches it’s appearance perfectly. Crafted from musky, woody base notes that give the perfume a mature scent, it’s balanced by mid notes of orange and lily-of-the-valley for a floral and spicy after scent, and completed with top notes of seductive bergamont. It is difficult to describe just how enchanting this mix of floral, woody and fresh notes mix together, but I can see this perfume being loved by women of almost any age.

Although we often refer to all fragrances as ‘perfumes’, most fragrances actually come in either Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum styles. Mademoiselle Rochas Couture is an Eau de Parfum, and these types of scents usually contain 8-14% of perfume oil on average, compared to Eau de Toilettes which usually contain a much lower percentage of perfume oil at around 5-9%. This means that Eu de Parfums smell more intense and last a lot longer on the skin, which is certainly true for Mademoiselle Rochas Couture which I have found to last subtly and seductively on my skin from day to night; perfect for wearing straight from the office to the work Christmas do.
