‘Tights for Summer Nights’ – no, it’s not a campaign name but it could darn well be. You heard it here first, so if you decide to pinch this, The Sock Shop, I want some commission for it!

But no, I just thought that this title perfectly described the range of hoisery, long socks and tights that The Sock Shop have on offer at the moment. As well as selling socks (duh!) they also sell a range of different items ideal for either accessorising, keeping your legs warm – or both!

I personally find popping a pair of tights on with a floral dress the perfect way to compliment a daytime dress, ready for the evening. It also makes wearing black heels with a summery dress a lot more seamless, and is over all a really comfortable way to dress an outfit up from day to night.

The bits and bobs I favour myself from The Sock Shop include these Elle Bamboo Tights*, which are the perfect pair of black tights for popping on under almost any dress. For colder nights (or winter!) I also have a pair of Heat Holders*; they look like your average pair of black tights on the outside, but inside they’re thermal layered and designed to keep in the heat. Perfect for toasty tootsies! At the other end of the spectrum, I really love these Falke Knee High Socks*. They are so luxurious and a really stylish addition to a pair of shorts or mini dress.
