As amazing it would be to re-decorate our home according to the seasons, let’s face it, it just isn’t possible! Painting, new furniture and wallpapering just for fun aren’t really in my budget at the mo (money or time-wise!) and as I get closer to moving into my first own home, I’m starting to try and discover ways to update rooms in an affordable and easy way for each season.
The first room I’ve been testing out updating for summer is my bedroom. This isn’t my new bedroom, but it’s home for now whilst I renovate my house. Whilst I’m there, I’m in need of a little update and so when I was invited to try some bedding from luxury homewear brand Julian Charles I jumped at the chance.
As you guys know, my bedroom is a bold monochrome theme. Truth be told it’s more suited to winter décor, but I love it and think black and white is timeless. In winter I usually have silver, black or grey bedding on, but this Summer I wanted to switch things up with something light and bright. Fitting the bill perfectly was the Paisley White Luxury Jacquard Duvet Cover paired with the matching Paisley White Luxury Jacquard Pillow Cases with Julian Charles’ Oxford Pillow Cases underneath.
With a simple change of bedding, my whole room fills lighter, brighter and more airy. The Paisley White Luxury Jacquard bedding set turned out to be the perfect summer update. With a timeless, classic design and a beautiful crisp white colourway, I can’t wait to take this beautiful co-ordinating bedroom set from my current bedroom to my new one. It’s excellent quality, so comfortable to sleep in and washes so well, meaning I’m sure it will last me for many bedroom updates to come!
Oh, and Sonny gives it the seal of approval too – which really is the most important thing, right?
