Vertical Stripe Swing Dress

Brrr, baby it’s cold outside! January is set for snow and whilst I would rather it have come during the festive season (forever dreaming of a white Christmas, like), it’s still the perfect excuse to make the most of layered dressing. Popping on my beloved new Biba Portabello faux fur coat – my birthday present this year – makes any outfit instantly cold-proof, and so I picked the perfect dress to go with it; my new Vertical Stripe Swing Dress from Want That Trend.

I absolutely love swing dresses; the shape is so flattering on almost any body shape and they are always so comfortable too. They are my go-to style of dress and have become somewhat of a signature for me; if I am ever unsure what to wear, I simply get told ‘go and put on one of your nice swing dresses’!

They can be dressed up with a pair of heels and bare legs, or dressed down with a pair of tights and boots (which is how I prefer to wear them). Like in this outfit, I’ve popped on some opaque tights and my favourite knee high Sorena boots from Rocket Dog. It’s simple yet effective!

This Vertical Stripe Swing Dress is a really lovely alternative to breton stripes, which I personally find a less flattering design and are a little bit common (they’re everywhere right now!).
