Evening kittens, if you’re sitting back with a Saturday night cocktail (and if you aren’t, why not?!) I bet I can guess what the gossip on your lips is… VOGUE’s Fashion Night Out! As part of my VOGUE #FNO Manchester blog series, it’s time for some more details and teasers of what to expect on the night – I know I wouldn’t miss it for the world!
I first blogged about way back in April and last week I brought you some exclusive details, including my meeting with VOGUE themselves! Check it out here if you missed it. Anyway, I announced that our beloved Manchester is going to be home to the only UK Fashion Night Out taking place outside of London – pretty exciting, huh?
Y’all know I believe Manchester is the fashion capital of the North West (if not the UK!) and on the 10th October it will be a showered with a global celebration of shopping and fashion collections. Now we’re midway through September, there’s only a couple of weeks to wait, kittens, and this is set to be the night out of the year, with designers, retailers and the Vogue editorial team bringing Fashion’s Night Out to our rainy – yet chic – North West city.
So, what can we expect VOGUE to bring to we Mancunions? Of course, there’s gonna be plenty of luxury fashion brands taking part – heck, it wouldn’t be a VOGUE night without them. To name a few, Chanel, Burberry and Christian Louboutin are already confirmed. However, it wouldn’t be a Manchester based event without some more affordable brands taking part, too – hands up if you love a bargain! So, highstreet labels Topshop, H&M and Office will be participating as well, with the huge Manchester Arndale shopping centre confirmed and, yes and, with more shops in the line up, too. Here’s hoping some discount codes will be on offer!
Finally, I can tell what’s gonna be the biggest question on everyone’s lips in the run up to the night out – what to wear? Well, luckily enough VOGUE have thought of that too. There will be an official limited edition Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt available to buy for £18 from most of the participating stores, with proceeds going to Save The Children. A pretty good incentive to look good, huh? The shirt is gonna be created by GAP and has been designed with a Manchester inspired sports motif, commemorating the event’s move from London to the capital of the North.
