Look at my little Sonny boy – snug as a pug in a rug! It might be Spring but a pug’s still gotta keep himself warm and so it’s out with his old, tatty winter bedding and in with some new, light and airy soft sheets for Spring and Summer. I’m a little jealous, if truth be told! But today Sonny is here to show off his beautiful new collection of Banbury & Co. items from Waitrose Pet. Only the best for my little sugarplum puglet.
Look at my previous angel! He absolutely loves his new treats from Waitrose Pet – why yes, he did choose all of these items himself to purposefully create a colour scheme. He’s a clever little pug, and doesn’t it just suit him? All of the items we were treated to by Waitrose Pet were exactly as you would expect from such a premium brand; excellent quality and definitely luxurious. What a spoilt baby. So, here’s what we got…
The first thing you might notice Sonny wearing is this sweet little House of Paws jumper. With a classic cable knit pattern and in a beautiful bluey-grey shade, this really is a little somethin’ somethin’ that will stay with Sonny for many years. It’s just adorable and wonderful quality! Pugs really feel the cold when it’s chill outside and he loves nothing more than to snuggle into a little sweater for a quick warm up. Plus, this one is smart enough for days out and popping on for Spring evening garden parties.
My favourite item that I picked out with Sonny is his beautiful new Banbury & Co Luxury Cosy Dog bed from Waitrose Pet. It’s name honestly just says it all – it’s very luxurious, very cosy and my dog has definitely made it his new little nest! It is as comfortable as it looks (hey, if Sonny’s gonna sit in it I have to try it for myself first, right?) and every night he loves to curl up in this and enjoy the beautiful fleece lining. As a perk for me, it is looks luxurious which is a bonus, as quite often dog beds become tatty and worn easily and end up looking scruffy in my house. This one fits my home decor perfectly.
As an extra to the bed (not that it needs anything else!) I also picked out the Banbury & Co Comfort Dog Blanket to match. Like you would expect, this blanket is absolutely gorgeous – it’s super soft, luxurious and almost too good for a dog to use… I want it! It also came all bundled up nicely in some chic string to finish the look; Sonny loved unwrapping it like a present!
I also couldn’t resist a Banbury & Co. Ceramic Dog Bowl to complete the whole set. Before having Sonny, I never would have imagined getting excited about a dog bowl… But here I am! This is the heaviest dog bowl we have ever own and although only being £12, it feels like you could have easily spent a lot more on this. I could imagine this lasting forever, and it’s the perfect size for Sonny’s flat little face to get fully involved with the water. Also, little known fact: ceramic bowls are much better for pugs than plastic or metal, as these materials cause pug acne!
The final thing I got from Waitrose Pet didn’t last very long… Sonny LOVES his cuddly toys (especially when they look like animals) so I couldn’t resist getting him this fun little plush Hunter Wildlife Rabbit Dog Toy. This is the only item I have to say I am not impressed with – it is beautifully made but unfortunately not safely made. As you can see, this toy still has its label on as I wanted to photograph it before giving it to Sonny. However he had it off me for one evening and in that time it’s been completely destroyed. And Sonny is hardly a vicious beast! It’s pretty scary to think that a toy especially designed for dogs can come undone so quickly and easily, especially when Sonny has soft toys not made for dogs which are still going strong from before Christmas…
However I am overwhelmingly impressed with Waitrose Pet and I have no doubt that I will become a regular customer. Sonny’s bedding sets especially are to die for and are the perfect size for him; plus, they look great in my home, which is always a bonus.
If you are looking to spoil your pet, I would highly recommend giving Waitrose Pet a little look – I wouldn’t have thought to look to Waitrose for pug supplies before but now I can’t see myself looking back.
Now… Time to let him sleep in his new bedding set. *Yawn*!
