Winter Holiday Wishlist

The colder and rainier it gets in Manchester, the more it’s starting to feel like my summer holiday was a lifetime away! If you’ve been reading here for a while (hello, welcome back!) then you will remember that in August I went on a holiday of a lifetime – a cruise around the Western Mediterranean. During my time on board, we stoppe d at 5 different destinations and it’s really encouraged me to step up my adventurous side a little more and explore some other new places. So, what better way to channel my Wanderlust on this dreary morning than to put together my Winter Holiday Wishlist? Enjoy!

1. Copenhagen – okay, it might not be very warm there in Winter, but I’m just obsessed with this city. I’ve visited a few times now and I just feel so at home, I’ve even said that I could quite easily live there – and now, imagine it with Christmas markets and fairy lights.  Eurgh, so perfect. Perhaps I should stop saying it and start doing it?
2. Recently I’ve been seeing a lot about The Maldives, and although I’m not usually one for a sunbathing holiday (I tend to get bored laying on a sun-lounger all day) I just can’t deny that it looks like paradise. Soft white sandy beaches and clear blue seas would be the perfect winter-blues remedy, thank you very much.
3. A cruise; I don’t mind where, just anywhere! Going on one this summer made me realise how incredible they really are and now it just makes me want to save my pennies even harder to afford my next one – which really reminds me, I must finish the rest of my cruise travel tips blog posts!
4. I’m not a huge Disney fan, but I have to admit there’s something really tempting about seeing Disneyland at Christmas. I’m just such a big festive fan and I can imagine they probably make the most out of it, which I am personally all about! Paris or Flordia, I’m not fussy.
5. If, like me, you watched the X Factor this weekend you’ll have seen the ‘overs’ contestants visit Simon Cowell’s luxury villa in the South of France. It looked INCREDIBLE and now I’ve been left lusting for a Southern French getaway of my own, perhaps something like Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

To be honest, the list could go on, but perhaps I’ll save those for my Summer Holiday Wishlist. Are there any Winter Holiday Recommendations you have?
