The colder it gets, the more fashionable and powerful I become (at least in my head). Mid December and the winter knitwear is truly out in full force. Whilst trying to stay warm, I’m also trying to stay smart and chic and often this can be quite a challenge for my work. By day I work in Beauty marketing and although our office is quite casual, I still like to look relatively smart and well presented; it makes me feel more in control and I like to try and set a good example. So, today I’m styling up some women’s winter workwear with the newly launched French Connection store in Manchester.
French Connection have recently opened a new store in St Anne’s Square and my love affair with them have reignited. I loved them as a young teenager and for some reason they fell a little out of favour in between (remember the FCUK perfume you could buy at boots?). Looking at the store now, French Connection have totally refreshed themselves and their image is almost unrecognisable. They are chic, stylish and have gone back to their roots.
In this outfit of the day, my jumper and trousers are both from French Connection. When I first wore this outfit to work, I was delighted to receive a couple of compliments on it from a few different people .And trust me, that never happens at work! The trousers are smart causal at their finest; half jeans, half pinstripe trouser, whilst the tie wait knitted jumper is the perfect way to stay warm and stylish at the same time. It’s love.

Love this jumper! I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for French Connection after I found an amazing sequinned cat sweatshirt in there!
